Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promoter is Canon Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 66 005 002 951) of 5 Talavera Road Macquarie Park, NSW 2113 and its subsidiaries. Phone: 13 23 53.
  2. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  3. The Promotion commences at 9:00AM AEDT on 1 October 2015 and closes at 5.00pm AEDT on 15 November 2015 (“Promotion Period”).

Eligible Entrants

  1. The Promotion is only open to individual employed staff members of Telstra Group entities during the Promotion Period (“Eligible Entrant”).
  2. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and related bodies corporate are not eligible to enter.

How to Enter

  1. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotion Period:
    1. Take a screen shot of each of the three (3) gold coins hidden among the Canon Store pages;
    2. Answer the question “Tell us in a sentence your favourite part about the new Canon Store and why”; and
    3. Send each screen shot and the answer to the question to,


  1. Only one (1) Entry is permitted per Eligible Entrant.


  1. Only those Eligible Entrants who find the 3 gold coins will have their entry submitted for final judging.
  2. Judging will take place at 9:00AM AEDT on 3 November 2015 at the office of the Promoter.
  3. Each Entry will be individually judged by the Promoter based on creativity and the answer that best addresses the question.
  4. The top five (5) Eligible Entrants with the best Entry as determined by the judges will win a Prize (“Winners”).
  5. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Winners and Prizes

  1. The five (5) Winners will be notified by the Promoter on 5.00PM AEDT on 3 November 2015 via an email to their email address.
  2. There are five (5) prizes to give away. Each prize is a $50 (including GST) Canon e-store voucher (“Prize”). The voucher may be used through Canon corporate rewards platform.
  3. Each voucher will expire on 31 December 2015.
  4. If any Prize (or part of any Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that part of the Prize) with a prize of equivalent value and/or specification, subject to any written discretions from a regulatory authority.

Claiming the Prize

  1. The Winners must respond to the email referred to in clause 13 by 9:00AM AEDT on 6 November 2015 in order to receive further details on how to claim the Prize.

General Prize Information

  1. If a Winner does not respond to the Promoter as described in clause 17, or if a Winner does not meet the eligibility criteria, that Winner will forfeit the Prize in its entirety and it shall be awarded to the Eligible Entrant who submitted the next best Entry as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion.
  2. The Promoter will not be liable for a Winner who forfeits their Prize and no correspondence will be entered into.
  3. In the event that a Winner cannot provide suitable proof as to eligibility, personal identity or compliance with any of the applicable Terms and Conditions, as requested by the Promoter, they will not be eligible for the Prize.
  4. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not exchangeable, or transferrable and cannot be taken as cash.

Conditions that may invalidate, disqualify or terminate, the Entry, Eligible Entrants or the Promotion

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Entry where: it reasonably suspects that the Entry is prohibited by these Terms and Conditions or any relevant law; the Entry is deemed inappropriate; the entrant has failed to meet the eligibility criteria, or the Entry is otherwise rejected by the Promoter. This is at the Promoter's absolute discretion and discussions will not be entered into.
  2. If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated by the Promoter including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any Eligible Entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate.

Promoter’s Decision

  1. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding on each person who participates or enters and no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected Entries.
  2. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.


  1. The Promoter collects personal information and email addresses provided by Eligible Entrants in connection with the Promotion in order to conduct, promote, and communicate with Eligible Entrants about, the Promotion. The Promoter may disclose such information to third party service providers, such as marketing agencies and technology providers, for those purposes. Information about winners may be published as set out in these Terms. The Promoter will otherwise manage the personal information collected by it in accordance with its Privacy Policy (available at, which contains information about access, correction and complaint processes.


  1. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act 2001 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”).
  2. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any Entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) if the Event is cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (f) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant or their employer; (g) use of the Prize; or otherwise arising out of this Promotion.
  3. To the full extent permitted by law, any tax liability (including without limitation any liability for fringe benefits tax, payroll tax or income tax), or any associated reporting requirement, penalties or interest, which a Winner or their employer may incur as a result of this Promotion will be the responsibility of Winners and/or their employer. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax liability.


  1. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining Terms and Conditions will remain in full force and effect.
  2. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia.
