EF 85mm f/1.8 USM is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant value for money. It's not an L series lens, but it has that Canon build quality. It's solid, super silent and creates beautiful images with creamy bokeh if you use it right. Super quick and accurate focus. Stopped down to f4 and you have to really analyse your images before you notice too much corner softening. After f4 it remains scalpel sharp in the centre until you get above f11, then any sharpness drop-off is negligible. For the price, this lens is probably the best 85 1.8 I've experienced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic LENS has done me well Ive had this few yrs and still love it even on my film Camera, as I have progressed in bodies and L series lines. I can still highly recommend this lens for portrait and other work. Especially for someone starting out in Photography Stick with canon lenses and As a prime for maybe your first one or for portrait its great, especially on a. nice full frame body.
