Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy set up I've just gone through the set up process for this printer and its been fantastically simply. For once, intuitive instructions that make sense, and easy to apply steps when installing and connecting functions and software. Well done Canon!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact with all the trimmings! I purchased this printer a few months ago as I wanted an easy-to-use wireless printer for my university studies and other miscellaneous printing. It's super easy to set up and does everything I need it to, including scanning. It's compact enough to fit into a bookshelf in my apartment (and doesn't cause the shelf or any thing sitting on top of the printer to shake or move when it's printing) and isn't loud when it prints. It could do with being a little faster, but it prints double-sided and that's very useful!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from "Ink cartridges" -Brand new. Can't rate yet. Bought this after much researching and believed I was getting a printer with 5 ink cartridges. After my Son set it up he told me it only had 2. I tried so hard to avoid a printer that had all the colours of ink in the one cartridge and still I've slipped up. But it's too late now. It's all set up to go. Be aware. This printer has 1 black and 1 coloured ink cartridge only. Don't know what I was reading into the early hours of this morning and I couldn't print it out as my old printer was dead, along with it's 4 cartridges that worked well for many years. I guess I will see how much more it costs me to have to replace all colours every time one runs out ! Maybe that's why they are dearer in specialty shops because there is someone there you can talk to about them, rather than in just a retail shop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easy to set up, very difficult to use I bought this printer, last weekend. It was easy to set up. That was the end of the good times. Unlike my previous printer (which was cheaper), this thing is difficult to use, even with the poorly edited instructions. I still can't work out how to scan. I didn't even need instructions with my old printer, as it was so straight forward to use. Things should have evolved for the better, in two years. I haven't used a Canon printer before and for that, I'm grateful
